where did i go?

Hey you,
Been a while since we last spoke. I'm still taking a bit of a sabbatical from the social media stuff, but wanted to send an email to let you know that I was doing okay. For those who don't have email, I'm also going to share this out on social media too. Honestly, I'm still adjusting to not being so chronically online and seeing every last post that comes into my social media clients (Spring for Twitter and Mona for Mastodon, etc.) I've elected to focus more on one-on-one communications with friends, and I find that to be better for my mental health than doomscrolling.

Which reminds me, I really need to get better at communicating with my friends...

Anyways, I'd like to get back to being somewhat "present" at some point, but I think it'll be a little while longer before that happens. I hope you can understand the need to kind of breathe for a sec before jumping back in head first. (If I decide to do that at all, that is...)

That also goes for The Bulletin as well. Many expected that I'd be back this week, I'm sorry to say that's not the case. I'm not really ready to put something that big together yet. That said: I actually have something special in the works that'll go live very soon. I teased it to Ged from the Iconfactory on Mastodon this afternoon, but it's going to be launching on SladeWatkins.net (and another place) in the next month or two. I hope you'll join me once it's live!

P.S. VDI is a new design language that's now live on SladeWatkins.com and SladeWatkins.net. Trying to unify the branding and all that. Designed it all myself from top-to-bottom with a mix of PHP, HTML, and CSS. No JavaScript in sight on .com, besides the privacy-friendly analytics service I use!
